Day 28 - Wednesday August 1st, 2007

Today we might have had the quietest day yet. The boys are continuing to get stronger. Shay is doing even better today than yesterday with his ventilation as he is having less 'spells' where he needs to be reminded to breathe :) Ciaran has had his ventilation reduced again today and we hope it is the start of him getting off the machines. They are both eating and going potty great.

It would seem that the boys are having a bit of a role reversal as well. Shay is now the feisty one, constantly trying to remove anything on or in his face. Ciaran is still active but a bit calmer now. Quite a difference from yesterday.

Tomorrow will mark the 4 week anniversary of their birth. It is amazing to see how far they have come. We can only pray that they continue to develop so we can bring them home soon. I can't wait!

Good night and God bless all of you for your time and interest!
Cris, Liza, Ciaran and Shay

Here is a pic of Ciaran yawning.

Here is a pic of Shay but it is not as clear. Sometimes it is hard to get a clear shot of them!

I can't believe how much they are filling out!! They are so beautiful. I check up on them (and you both) everyday. You are both very special people to be sharing so much, so openly. I will continue to pray, and you continue to do the great job of parenting that you have already shown. Lots of love and friendship, Lianne Summers xoxo

Hi Liza & Chris, the boys are getting so big. I can't get over the arodable chubby cheeks on Ciaran in that picture. Hope you're both keeping well and that each day brings you both closer to bringing your two precious gifts home with you. Lots of love your cousin Ciara

Wow! What a difference a month and a pound makes! Both boys are really looking much bigger and stronger (and as adorable as ever!)I'm so glad that things are looking up for the babies and that you guys are able to have some quiet and calm days. Enjoy those while you can... once those little guys are home, you'll be longing for peace and quiet:) Love, Erin

Hi Cris & Liza... I haven't posted anything yet, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm so incredibly proud to know you both and your boys. These kids are incredible and watching and reading their progress has just amazed me. You've got a couple of first rate champions on your hands and it couldn't happen to a nicer couple. I will continue to watch their progress and keep you both in my thoughts. Life is an amazing thing and this journey you are on while it has it's bumpy parts is all a part of being a family and growing together. Stay well and take care... love to you all.
